Hey all! Superb and I are hosting an Objective Game VGMGG called ANARCHY AT THE ALL-STAR ARCADE!! Objective Games are a format made by @Ahmayksonozaki developed from mafia and inspired by TTRPGs that take place on Discord. Play as a character with an objective chosen by you in a world designed to fit everyone's objectives, do any actions you please, with an ability inspired by your character and a ton of other fun things. Roleplaying is encouraged but not mandatory! Signups are opening right now, and end at July 1st at 11:59PM, don't worry about being early or late, people will be selected randomly! Come join! Oh right! Almost forgot. He seems eager to conduct some business, and has set you on the task of sniffing out some ? Blocks to sell. Well, if ? Blocks are anything like Blitties, this should be an easy task... However, you can't bring other players or NPCs along with you; if you choose to move to an area you wouldn't normally be able to move to.

Strange Kitty Ending

Majora's Mask wasn't quite sure how it managed to escape that incident in the big city, neither that situation with the Kalevala comet - nevermind how it ended up here... but it's glad that it got worn by its new owner, Skull Kid. Speaking of Skull Kid... he appears to be in deep symbiosis with the mask. ...cool.

SKULL KID (& MAJORA'S MASK)

The Kalevala comet. Helsinki, Finland. The last known location of Majora's Mask. You know nothing of what happened. Just rumors. Apparently, there was some kind of crash during a festival there... and the Mask escaped. You tracked down its whereabouts through further rumors to... this All-Star Arcade. It's the closest thing you have to a lead. Once you obtain it... you should be granted with a great deal of power. ...hold on a second - why is this cat following you...? ...whatever. It shouldn't be of any consequence to your goals. Player: Nuperopp561 Character: Skull Kid (The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Obtain Majora's Mask and drop the moon. Special Item ~ Skull Kid's Flute: You start off the game with this item. By playing this flute, you may redirect another player of your choosing to a random area each phase. Lead others on unknown trails.

Main - Fail: Was not first in the VGMGG Personal - Success: Skull Kid obtained Majora's Mask. Due to the efforts of NASA (otherwise known as the spectators), the moon got redirected into Room 203. This still counted as bringing down the moon. Alive? - Yes (edited)

YOU'VE MET WITH A STRANGE FATE, HAVEN'T YOU? ENDING

Mion was honest. She wasn't expecting to get involved in a basketball match with a demon lord when she came to this All-Star Arcade. So many interesting new friends - although the Lifesavers may have parted for now... the memories they made would stick with her forever.

MION SONOZAKI

So! You've decided to come to this strange arcade with one of your friends, Rena. It's... honestly part investigation of an interesting location - and you also figure... well... doesn't seem like anyone else in Hinamizawa has come along. You want to play a game at the All-Star Arcade (you'll make sure to win no matter what) - and it seems like it's the perfect place to find people to be part of... some kind of club - even if it's not necessarily the game club. Let's start the scouting mission! Player: Ahmaykmewsik Character: Mion Sonozaki (Higurashi no naku koro ni) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Form a club with 5 people and play a game of my choosing. I must do everything in my power and try to win, even if it involves cheating. Afterward, force all the losers to endure a punishment. Skill ~ Club President: You gain +5 to your roll if your actions involve leading and/or organizing other characters in some way.

Main - Fail: Was not first in the VGMGG Personal - Success: The Lifesavers obtained at least 5 members. Mion, Rena, Reyn, Ephraim, and Clive. Together, they succeeded in their task of SAVING LYON. The punishment was not specifically outlined - but Marx' black hole fits the definition well enough. Alive? - Yes

Lifesavers Club President Ending

Rena joined Mion back on the way back to Hinamizawa. Many fond memories, indeed! She's glad that their team managed to win that basketball game against the D-Boyz! There were also so many cute animals like Broggy there, so... definitely worth the trip.

RENA RYUUGU

Hey! So, Mion decided to bring you along on a trip to this arcade and it looks pretty neat, yeah. Sounds like she's planning a game, which you... well, you're definitely going to have a lot of fun seeing other people lose. There's also this Vee Gee Em Gee Gee thing? Sounds pretty cool. You might give it a look. Player: loweffortmemes Character: Rena Ryuugu (Higurashi no naku koro ni) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Make another person lose Mion's game and watch them endure their punishment, even if it means losing myself. Ability ~ Cute Mode: This thing is cute... and this thing is cute... and. Oh man, there's so many cute objects to pick up! Well, it's lucky that you can carry as many Big or Clothing items as you want.

Main - Fail: Was not first in the VGMGG Personal - Success: The Lifesavers won the basketball game - and Lyon did endure his punishment, with Rena watching. Alive? - Yes

Cute Ending

Was certainly a nice time creating Sackbots. Enjoyed that basketball game too! You honestly don't have a whole lot to say except... you guess you helped Lyon... or the demon lord... or whoever he is find his calling in basketball. Nice.

CLIVE HANDFORTH

Meh... looks like that Reyn guy has dragged you along on a trip... to the arcade? Huh. Well. That Video Game Music Guessing Game seems like a worthwhile thing to check out. Could also give some kind of rousing speech. Help someone else find a higher calling - their own unique path in life, you kinda guess. At least you brought your Sackbot crafting materials. Let's just get this on with already. Player: Sparky_Pitch Character: Clive Handforth (Little Big Planet 2) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Help another player find a higher calling. Ability ~ The Factory of a Better Tomorrow: Once per phase, you may create a Sackbot and command it to do what you wish. At the end of the next phase, it will carry out your commands without fail! Sackbots can handle complex commands.

Main - Fail: Was not first in the VGMGG Personal - Success: Clive helped Fomortiis find his higher calling via the way of basketball. Alive? - Yes

Basketball Therapy Ending

Man! You're glad that your buddy Lyon is safe. ...You hope he's doing OK, back at his home. Well, whatever the case may be - you know that there's always going to be time to yoinky-sploinky... that, and you're a lifesaver! I mean, you saved all of those people.

REYN

Yo! So, you found this Clive buddy and pulled him with you to the arcade. You heard about the Video Game Music Guessing Game and thought it was worth checking out - but also... you have a suspicion some people there might need protecting. At least, if they're anything like Clive. But enough about him. Now, it's Reyn time! Player: ThePopStarDude Character: Reyn (Xenoblade Chronicles) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Defend 5 people in some way. The person you defend needs to be under attack. Ability ~ Guard Shift: Using the art of Guard Shift, protection actions for you never fail. Additionally, you have 4 hearts!

Main - Fail: Was not first in the VGMGG Personal - Success: I'm not going to bother counting, but let's just say that Reyn defended enough people for it to count. Alive? - Yes

Reynbow Ending

...wait. You actually got a friend...? Wait, oh my god. You got so many friends! And you actually won the game? I can't believe a Claptrap unit actually did this! Let me tell my manager.

CLAPTRAP

...Aw MAAAAAAAAAAN. Looks like you found yourself in a bind again! You're at this weird arcade and you don't know why! They're hosting a 'Video Game Music Guessing Game', which is nice... maybe you could make a friend or two in the process as well. Maybe you could start with that green-haired swordsman guy... what's his name... Ernest? Emmet? Elias? Player: Akkrillic Character: Claptrap (Borderlands) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Make 1 (one) friend. Ability ~ RobotSimul.EXE: What does this button do...? At the beginning of every phase, a random ability will be given to you from a pool of 4. You will only learn what these abilities are when they are given to you - each last for only a phase.

Claptrap random abilities below: Ability ~ The Son of All Nano-Omelettes!: Through the power of nanomachines, all incoming physical (most melee weaponry, and some ranged weaponry) damage is reduced by 0.75 hearts for this phase only. Ability ~ Cheesed to Meet You: A card's just dispensed from your body! Looks like it'll vanish by the end of the phase, but... you can use it to give any player with the exception of yourself +5 to their roll this phase. Ability ~ Super Claptrap Plasma Blast!: Huh! Looks like you accessed the weapons systems... On this phase, you may fire a super-powered plasma blast. It deals 1 heart of damage to everybody in the area you are currently in (not including you). Ability ~ Sine, Cosine, TANGRAM!: ...you just hit the motherload. You may fire an eyebeam this phase that alters a single thing in the game to be in a different state. It has to follow the following rules: - The eyebeam must hit whatever it is targetting. - In order to alter reality, you must add one adjective to the thing you are altering. - If the added adjective contradicts with an adjective already there, it replaces it. - You cannot add an adjective that would instantaneously end the game, or that would result in instantaneous victory. - The GMs have the ultimate final say over what the adjective actually means applied to whatever it targets. - The GMs can veto an adjective if we believe it would have an especially negative effect on the game. One of us will message you with 'VETO' in all caps if this happens.

Superstar Friend Magnet Ending

...this all happened much more optimistically than expected. You got your best friend back, you got hailed as the winner of both a basketball and guessing game... man. This all feels so weird. You came in here ready to kill someone. What the hell even happened?

EPHRAIM

Hm. The demon lord is around here somewhere at the All-Star Arcade. You can just smell them. Sniff them. Whatever. First, though... you can't really take them on by yourself. You're gonna need to gather an army. Several of the fine folks here should work - but bonds are best forged through battle. ...Hm. Wait, why is this small yellow robot fellow pestering you? Player: 404 Character: Ephraim (Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Recruit 4 friends to your army; and together, defeat the demon lord. Ability ~ Support: You have four tiers of your army. In order for someone to enter Tier C, and become part of your army - they must either attack or be attacked alongside you. This goes for Tiers B, A, and A+ as well. With each successive tier any member enters, they gain 0.25 hearts to their base attack value - and 0.25 hearts worth of armor; which reduces incoming damage. The maximum for both is 1 heart at Tier A+. You start with one army member, yourself.

Main - Success: Was not first in the VGMGG, but was teammates with Claptrap; who was. This counts, because we're being nice. Personal - Success: Fought along the Lifesavers, and defeated the Demon Lord Fomortiis in basketball. Alive? - Yes (edited)

Victory Through Basketball Ending

Squuawwwwwk? (The huebird is confused as to how it turned blue through a backflip. It is also confused how it managed to nearly achieve completing a weapon of infinite power and potentiality.)

PINK HUEBIRD (LATER, BLUE HUEBIRD)

Squawkkkkk! Bok bok bok squaaaawk bok bok bok bok squaaaaaawk. Squaaaawk. (It appears the Pink Huebird wants to turn blue. It is very confused as to why it's here.) Player: Sammy6 Character: Pink Huebird (Rhythm Heaven Fever) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Turn blue. Skill ~ Flock Step: You're good at repeating the actions of others! When you repeat an action someone else performed last phase, you gain a +5 boost to your roll. Ability ~ Palette of Birds: Three times during this game, you may call your Huebird pals to the area you are currently in for a phase. Any attempts at attacking you on that phase will fail, as they will not be able to distinguish which Huebird is which!

Main - Fail: Was not first in the VGMGG Personal - Success: Did a backflip, nat 20'd and turned blue. Alive? - Yes

Defying Game Design Expectations Ending (edited)

It's still the same old room, but... something's different. Far away, you can hear music. The room's no longer at South Ashfield Heights... it's somewhere else. You don't know where. Sounds like they're having fun... you kind of want to join. ...in order to do that, you need to find a key. Hm. Player: Pablo Smith Character: Henry Townshend (Silent Hill 4: The Room) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Find the key that unlocks the door out of Room 302. Ability ~ Room 302: You start off the game in Room 302. While in Room 302, you (and anyone else who enters) heal half a heart every phase.

Main - Fail: Was not first in the VGMGG Personal - Success: Successfully exited Room 302 thanks to the help of the spectators. Alive? - Yes

Future in Blowing Up the Moon Ending (edited)

Well... what now? You're on the run; trailing across the night sky. Don't think you'll ever be wanted at the All-Star Arcade again, but... you had fun - you have ultimate power, and hey. Isn't that what matters in the end...? Now... time to terrorize Dreamland!!!

MARX

Nyehehe... ready to cause some havoc and mayhem by pranking some FOOOOOOOOLS! ...You know, there's more reason for you to come here than the VGMGG and just... generally pranking people. You heard tale that the Wishing Clock Galactic Nova was present at the All-Star Arcade. ...you think maybe, if you wished real hard... you could get enough power to DESTROY THE WORLD! Player: TehFriedWaffles Character: Marx (Kirby) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Transform into your Boss form. Ability ~ Prank Kick: Once per phase, you may kick another player - this has a 75% chance of making them drop an item they have in their inventory.

Marx's boss form ability... Ability ~ Black Hole: Once in this game, you may suck every player in your current area up into a black hole. They will enter an area called #px_void, x being the phase number - much like the name entails, it is a void. Not much to do. The void ends after a phase, the players being popped back out into their previous location - however, each player who exits will take a heart of damage as a result of the sudden closure of the black hole.

Main - Fail: Was not first in the VGMGG Personal - Success: Gathered the star essences (with a little help from some friends), wished on Galactic Nova, and achieved his Boss form. Alive? - Yes

Black Hole Blacklist Ending

Wario picks up a wanted paper on the side of a house of Toad Town. ...where is he...? Last time he saw him, Waluigi was heading off to that All-Star Arcade. Something about an Infinity Gauntlet. ...ha. Can't believe he's actually getting worried for that sap.

WALUIGI

Waaaaaaaaaaaa!! You found this stupid warp pipe in the middle of nowhere. You've been looking for the Infinity Gauntlet - if you have it, you'll be Number One. Nyehehehehe!! You figure that it's probably on the other end of the pipe, so you hop on in! As you exit, you notice... the warp pipe has vanished! ...huh. How about that. Least you brought along your trusty racket. Waluigi's gonna win! Player: BackwardsFace Character: Waluigi (Mario) Main Objective: Get first place in the Video Game Music Guessing Game! Personal Objective: Find the Infinity Gauntlet. Ability ~ Power Tennis: You start off this game with a tennis racket. While holding the tennis racket (or any similar object), any projectiles thrown or fired your way are automatically reflected!

Main - Fail: Was not first in the VGMGG Personal - Fail: Didn't even find the Infinity Gauntlet, nevertheless any Infinity Stones. Alive? - No: Got godkilled partway through the game for inactivity and left.
